Position:
The Product Manager/Project Manager will perform
project management for as many as 3 products as they proceed through the
OSMINE process. Clients include various sized companies offering a diverse
array of telecom products. The candidate will be working directly with the
ILECs and Telcordia to assist the client with an understanding of OSMINE
requirements and OSMINE functional implementation as it relates to their
products. He/she will define the scope and objectives of the project,
oversee execution of the project plan and establish a method of reporting
project progress to the client. The Product Manager/Project Manager will
work closely with both internal staff and outside resources. Critical duties
include the research and analysis of client requirements, OSMINE OSSs and
ILEC requirements. Will also be required to stay current with changes within
Telcordia for software and regulations.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have 8+ years experience in marketing, product
management and/or project management with an in depth knowledge of the ILEC
carrier marketplace for voice and data products, a strong knowledge of ILEC
legacy requirements, specifically 6+ years of hands-on OSMINE experience. A
proven track record and ability to manage and direct all aspects of multiple
projects and proven communication, presentation and client management
skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint essential.
Technical Requirements:
Working knowledge of the following equipment class of products: Class 5
switches, DLC access products, DS1/DS3/OC3/OC-48 multiplexers, IP Routers,
Frame Relay switches, ATM switches and DSLAM's. Knowledge of the following
technologies: TDM (SONET, SDH, PDH, POTS and PSTN switching), ATM, TCP/IP.
Understanding of the following management types: SNMP, HTTP and TL1.
Other Requirements:
Technical undergraduate degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree such
as and MBA highly desirable.

the ideal candidate will possess key personal characteristics that will
enable him/her to manage successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
This is a player/coach position. The successful candidate will have a can-do
attitude and an ability to roll up their sleeves and get the job done.
Position reports to the President & CEO.
